Is the AGM Pad T1 the Best Budget Tablet of 2025?
Everyone loves a premium gadget, but not everyone loves the premium price tag. I have been eyeing the AGM Pad T1 for a while now, mainly because of its sleek look. Today, I finally got this affordable Android tablet on my desk in the studio, and I’m ready to answer the big question: Can a cheap tablet actually feel premium?
In this video, we’ll dive into the unboxing, the specs, and the real-world performance of this budget beast.
The Unboxing Experience
First impressions matter, and AGM didn’t disappoint. The packaging is neatly compartmentalized. Inside the box, you get:
-
The AGM Pad T1 Tablet (wrapped securely)
-
A set of stickers
-
USB Type-C Cable and Adapter
-
SIM Card Ejector
-
User Manual
But the real surprise came when I unwrapped the device. It comes pre-packaged with a solid flip cover that acts as both a shield and a stand, plus a protective glass for the screen. It’s rare to see budget devices include these accessories right out of the box.
Design & Build Quality
This is arguably one of the best designs I’ve seen on a budget Android tablet. It sports a plain Grey colour that looks professional and clean.
Despite the low price, the build feels solid. You have the microphone and volume rocker on one side, the power button on top, and the SIM tray on the other. It also features dual speakers and a Type-C charging port at the bottom.
On the back, there is a single camera and flash setup. You might assume a single lens means poor quality, but we’ll get to the camera test in a moment.
Turning the device on, the screen brightness is impressive—definitely bright enough for outdoor use. But what really powers this machine?
-
Battery: A massive 7000 mAh battery (a huge selling point for me).
-
Operating System: It runs on the smooth Android 14.
-
Storage: 128GB internal storage, expandable up to 1TB.
-
Connectivity: Supports two physical SIM cards.
The Truth About Virtual RAM
One of the most interesting features is the RAM. It comes with 4GB of physical RAM and 4GB of virtual RAM, summing up to 8GB total.
I’ve seen “virtual RAM” on other devices where it felt like a gimmick, causing audio lag or stuttering. However, on the AGM Pad T1, I extended the RAM to the full 8GB, and the experience remained buttery smooth. It works perfectly.
Performance Tests: Camera & Gaming
The Camera: I took several sample shots with the rear camera. While it’s a single-lens setup, it captures decent images for a tablet in this price range—perfect for video calls or quick documentation.
Gaming Test: To push the tablet to its limits, I downloaded my favourite game, Dream League Soccer. The combination of the 8GB (total) RAM and the decent screen refresh rate made for a solid gaming experience. The sound from the dual speakers was also loud and clear.
The AGM Pad T1 checks all the boxes of a premium-feel tablet without the premium price. It’s aesthetic, functional, and comes with a battery that lasts.
